It would be a shared direction for us internally, and it would also be helpful when applying for EU funding and grants. Many funding programs explicitly ask for climate pledges with timelines. For this, we have two sensible reference points we could consider: aligning with Iceland’s national carbon-neutral goal of 2040,
, or setting a slightly earlier ambition of 2038, which keeps us ahead of the national curve while still feeling realistic for a small, remote municipality like ours.
